Fitness
Up until high school, Troy’s ‘sport’ outlets were fishing, skateboarding and snowmobiling (with a lot of video games thrown in for good measure). In high school he got his first taste of health and fitness. Here he joined the football and track teams and started to get in shape. Fall was for football, spring for track and winters were kept open for ice fishing and logging hundreds of miles on snowmobile. Racing across the many frozen waters and trails of central Minnesota.
Track drew most of Troy’s high school’s sport attention. A few of his triple jump records still stand today. One high school record jump during the state finals had him finish one spot away from winning the Minnesota state title. Then it was off to college to study for a business degree. During the next four years, he competed with the Arizona State University track and field team. And had the privilege to train and jump alongside Dwight Phillips, the 2004 Athens Olympic gold medalist and 2011 world long jump champion.
Troy graduated with a small business degree and moved to Los Angeles and in 2002 started California Complete Fitness. During this time he trained and worked with many great people, including stars from the entertainment and music industry as well as producers, directors and film personalities. In 2008, he worked and trained with gold medalist and superstar athlete Amanda Beard as she prepared for the Beijing Olympics. The exercises, programs, nutritional approach and fitness lessons learned over these years are the foundation for his Fit 4 Fishing program.
